The university, he said, now has a Directorate of Learning Management System, which focuses on digital, online and animated course materials for easy learning.

Adamu however acknowledged that the biggest challenge is that 90 percent of NOUN clients (students) prefer hard copies (paper) study materials.

He said the facilitator’s presence was extremely important, especially as she is also an African.

He disclosed that the University of Ilorin had come to NOUN a fortnight ago asking for materials in Distance Learning.

“They want to start a distance learning but they don’t have materials, which we gave them. But we asked them to acknowledge that the materials are from NOUN,” he said.
