Notice Of Postponement Of NOUN 9TH Convocation Ceremony
This is to inform you that the National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) 9th Convocation Ceremony scheduled for 20 – 21″ March, 2020, has been postponed indefinitely
The University Senate at its emergency meeting held today, 16 March, 2020 took the decision which was ratified by the Governing Council to postpone the Ceremony in order to avoid possible crises posed by the threat of coronavirus.
The Study Centre Directors and all stakeholders are by this notice requested to inform the would-be graduands of the indefinite postponement of the scheduled Convocation.
With this development, Study Centre Directors are to immediately put on hold all activities lined up for the Convocation Ceremony at their Centres including payments by students and issuance of academic gowns to students. Students who have already made any payments and issued with gowns are hereby directed to return the gowns in good condition to their Study Centres and await further directive on the mode of refund of the money paid.
Management hereby regrets any inconveniences that this postponement may cause staff, students and all other stakeholders.

As we awaits the next date for the convocation,can you please release another suplementary list for graduation as another projects and IT results have just been released, that was what stoped our names from coming out in the graduation list, PLEASE CONSIDER US

You guys just make decisions without considering it’s effect on the subjects(students).. After booking flights and hotel reservation, after the clearance stress, after the stress of collecting gown and even after collecting our money, you think this is the right time for this?..
Funny enough, corona virus is not even in Nigeria..
Please you guys should have a rethink and consider the frustration this decision will cause..
