The National Open University of Nigeria’s staff school held its cultural day yesterday at the school’s premises in Kaduna campus.
The essence of the cultural event, according to the School Administrator, Miss. Dina Dija Abbas was to bring about unity in diversity. “To show the upcoming generation that even as we belong to different cultural backgrounds, we can still work under single umbrella,” she said.
The event entailed the creation of awareness between the pupil on the different cultural entities in the country.
Four traditional title holders, including the District Head of Rigachikun, hosting NOUN Kaduna campus.
Others at the event were Rt Hon.Dr. Muhammad Ali, founder, and initiator of the Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment Initiative Kaduna, Acting Dean Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Anthony Kaine and a host of others graced the occasion.
The event witnessed a welcome song by the pupils and a cultural parade by various ethnic groups, depicting their rich cultural dance, as well as a presentation of different cultural foods.
